So this past Wednesday marked my 4 week out from my PBM. It really feels like a lot longer, but I am just happy to be over halfways through the healing period. I still have restrictions

Transformation
Well the past 14 days of my life have been trying. But I have made it through. I say 14 because the day before surgery was a hard one too. The anticipation of everything that the next day would bring was rather hard to deal with. And the fact that I had been on the heels of recovering from a nasty stomach bug the week prior

13 Days to go..
So the big day is getting closer!! I spent the day today making meals and freezing, in preparation for all the down time I will be having after surgery. I feel bad for S, he will be taking on so much with the boys, and just everything!

Moving Forward
Well yesterday was the magical Friday the 13th; Full moon, and plastic surgeon appointment. It went really well, as well as these things can go.

Boob talk
SO S and I went and saw the breast surgeon, Dr. K. She was pretty great - straight forward, blunt, honest - the sort of doctor I like. I now have an appointment with the plastic surgeon for next Friday - the 13th :/

Quinoa, Golden Beet, and Feta Salad
So our wonderful summer CSA started this past Monday at our local organic farm. It is really great, and I am so glad that we have this option. We live out in the country, and it takes a good 25-30 minutes to get into a store that actually has some good, fresh organic produce.

Smothered pork chops with a fun summery salad
So last night I was hungry for something good, and this is a recipe that I know will always turn out. A friend of S's (my husband) visited us last fall and he made this dish for us. It was amazing then, and is amazing now - smothered pork chops.

Welcome back to the blogosphere
Wellll I'm back. My old blog was about life, baby stuff, and well, life. This one is going to be similar - life, my love of food, and my trials and tribulations of being a mutant.
